INTEREL has been awarded a Silver Medal by EcoVadis in our 2022 sustainability assessment! We are happy to report that INTEREL progressed to an overall score of 66/100 (92nd percentile), a 13 point difference from our 2021 assessment (53/100).
EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest providers of business sustainability ratings that has assessed over 85,000 companies across 200 sectors and 160 countries since 2007. The EcoVadis sustainability scorecards provide detailed insight into 21 indicators in four themes including Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement to give an overall score of a company’s sustainability performance.
This Silver Medal would not be possible without the collective efforts of our dedicated employees. Together, we are committed to continuing to make a difference as we drive our business for growth, employee engagement, and long-term value creation.
While we are pleased with our progress, there is always room for improvement. Our goal is to increase our score even more in 2023. We will work with our team members to improve areas outlined in the report. We will continue to optimize and report on our own energy consumption and waste production, and put in place new HR policies and develop Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
